About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated immigration attorney to take the next step in their career, working closely with a team committed to making a real impact in the lives of immigrant families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and represent clients in immigration interviews and court appearances.
  • Draft and file a wide range of immigration petitions and documents.
  • Handle cases related to family and employment immigration law (80% family-based, 20% employment-based).
  • Ensure legal accuracy and timely processing of immigration applications.
  • Collaborate with the team to provide mentoring and guidance to junior attorneys and staff.
  • Manage a flat fee billing structure with an estimated 20 billable hours per week.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of immigration law experience (preferably 5+ years).
  • Fluency in Portuguese (mandatory).
  • Extensive experience in family and employment-based immigration cases.
  • Strong ability to manage client relationships and oversee immigration interviews.
  • Excellent organizational and case management skills.
  • Empathetic, client-centered approach with a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a high-volume immigration law firm.
  • Bilingual in Spanish in addition to Portuguese.
  • Previous mentoring or leadership experience within a legal team.
