We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join our team at Dorta & Ortega P.A. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for handling complex commercial litigation matters from inception to post-trial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a full case load, including drafting pleadings, discovery demands, and other litigation documents
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediation, and trials, and prepare for these events
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analyze complex legal issues
  • Assist in the review of legal documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate effectively with senior associates and other team members to ensure seamless case handling
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain the highest level of professionalism
  • Prioritize workload based on deadlines and meet billing requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Accredited Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Member of the Florida Bar in good standing
  • 0-3 years of experience in commercial litigation
  • Strong legal knowledge and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong client service orientation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
