About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Planning Manager to join our team at Prudential Financial. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing compensation plans that drive business results and motivate our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Compensation Planning: Develop and implement compensation plans that align with our business objectives and drive desired financial results.
  • Collaborate with Leaders: Work closely with senior leaders to gain alignment on proposed compensation strategies and ensure effective communication of plans to stakeholders.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models to accurately forecast and manage annual commission expense, and provide SME support to the Finance team for quarterly forecast and actual analysis/review.
  • Compensation Plan Administration: Provide guidance on compensation plan administration and manage multiple and concurrent workstreams, coordinating with cross-functional leadership to set expectations and meet critical deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with stakeholders and business leaders to gain alignment on proposed compensation strategies and ensure effective communication of plans to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Consultative Strategic Partner: Serve as a consultative strategic partner with senior leaders, providing expert advice on compensation planning and design.
  • Compensation Planning Expertise: Possess knowledge and experience with incentive compensation plan design and different compensation structures, including broker commission and group insurance sales.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrate strong financial acumen, including knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively summarize and clearly communicate complex or technical information/modeling results to leaders.
  • Project Management: Demonstrate project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple and concurrent workstreams and coordinate with cross-functional leadership to set expectations and meet critical deadlines.
