Position Overview:

Talent War Group is seeking to identify a Preconstruction Manager for a dynamic construction firm located in South Florida. In this critical role, you will be responsible for steering the initial phases of construction projects, focusing on planning, budgeting, and development strategies. Your collaboration with project management teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors will be essential to ensure that projects are primed for success from the very beginning. Your proficiency in construction management, cost analysis, and scheduling will be vital in advancing the preconstruction phase effectively. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preconstruction phase of projects from initial concept through to bidding, ensuring compliance with all requirements and timelines.
  • Work in conjunction with the project management team to outline project scopes, timelines, and financial plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive site evaluations to pinpoint potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to formulate detailed project plans and designs.
  • Generate precise cost estimates, material take-offs, and construction schedules to facilitate project planning and budgeting.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers, assess proposals, and negotiate contracts to secure optimal project value.
  • Examine and interpret construction documents, specifications, and drawings to identify inconsistencies or areas for enhancement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in preconstruction activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams, offering solutions to mitigate risks and enhance project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to encourage collaboration and teamwork throughout the preconstruction process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, particularly in preconstruction activities.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are advantageous.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software, project management tools, and the MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret complex construction documents and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a proven history of fostering and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality in all work aspects.
