Senior Transportation Planner

LaBella Associates is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transportation Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for leading or significantly contributing to larger, more complex planning assignments, spearheading project assignments, and managing day-to-day tasks, staffing, scheduling, and technical responsibilities, as well as client coordination.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform advanced professional work related to a variety of planning assignments.
- Assume client relations for some planning studies.
- Assume Assistant Project Manager role - staffing, scope schedule, budget.
- Develop transportation plans, studies, and analyses on a local and regional basis.
- Conduct research and prepare statistical reports on land use, physical, social, and economic issues.
- Schedule and conduct meetings with advisory boards, the public, and elected officials.
- Represent the organization in communications and conferences.
- Communicate with Director and Project Managers on a daily basis.
- Six years of professional planning experience, or a master's degree in planning or a related field and four years of professional planning.
- AICP Certification is preferred.
- Active member of a professional practice organization.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of planning, including funding. Well-developed knowledge of one or more planning disciplines, such as land use planning/zoning, or transportation planning.
