Transportation Coordinator

Job Summary:
Episcopal Church Home is seeking a reliable and courteous Senior Transportation Assistant to provide safe and dependable transportation services for our residents. The ideal candidate will have a valid New York State driver's license and a clean driving record.
Responsibilities:
• Assist and transport residents to and from outside appointments safely, comfortably, and in a timely fashion.
• Maintain accurate records of residents served.
• Ensure that no resident is left unattended in the vehicle.
• Perform routine pre-checks and maintain vehicles in good and clean condition.
• Notify Security Team leader and/or Executive Director immediately of any vehicle malfunctions and/or problems.
Requirements:
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least two year experience providing transportation to groups (i.e. older adults or youth).
• Must have a valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record for use of ESLC vehicle to conduct company business.
• Must be able to respond calmly to emergency situations and must be reliable.
• Must have the ability to interact courteously and tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and the general public.
Working Conditions:
The majority of essential job duties are performed inside of a motor vehicle. Employee will be exposed to outdoor temperature fluctuations.
Supervisory Relationship:
The work is performed within established guidelines, and requires periodic supervision. The employee exercises some initiative and independent judgment to effectively perform the essential job duties of this position.
Responsibility for Others:
The employee has no direct responsibility for others.
Safety Responsibilities:
Must be fully acquainted with all safety policies and procedures of Valley Manor. Takes an active role in all fire drills during the shift and/or emergencies for internal and external disasters as monitored by supervisor and incident manager. Maintain accurate and timely coordination with front desk. Must comply with facility in-service requirements. Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the organization, residents, participants, family, and staff, that may be encountered, either formally or informally, during the normal course of business. This includes medical and treatment records, financial and human resources information.
