Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our team at StarPlus Energy LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving project success and ensuring the efficient execution of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Develop and implement project management and engineering processes to improve inefficiencies and reduce overall timing and costs of the product development life cycle.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert technical leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts of cross-functional program teams and ensure efficient use of team resources.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and facilitate project activities, including quoting, release, and reporting processes, change, BOM, risk, and requirement management.
  • Process Control: Develop and maintain process controls, including product and program controls, to ensure all groups involved understand demands for interconnected processes.
  • Progress Tracking: Create a detailed process roll-out plan based on internal and customer-defined milestones and utilize program management tools to track progress to the plan.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer and company requirements are met, including cost, quality, timing, and overall scope of the program(s) and/or department(s).
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement efforts, research, recommend, and initiate implementation of enhancements to products, processes, and programs.
  • Lessons Learned: Lead effective lessons learned processes within and between programs and departments.
  • Reporting and Escalation: Determine the process format, reporting, escalation, and meeting structure and moderate reviews.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or other relevant area.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience with project management, including a broad understanding of product development engineering, production, and quality processes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the automotive industry and APQP is required.
  • Technical Skills: Fluent in Microsoft Office software to be able to track and analyze spreadsheets and plans.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrated strong communication and negotiation skills to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Analytical Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for successful performance of job duties.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, coordinate activities, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time.
  • Independence: Able to work independently under little or no supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality Operating System: Comply with requirements of the Quality Operating System (QOS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
  • Corrective Actions: Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Preventative Actions: Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process, and quality systems.
  • Program Management Certification: Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Hybrid Electronics Experience: Hybrid electronics or advanced battery technology experience is preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Color Vision: To safely perform the essential functions of the position, you must be able to distinguish colors.
  • Workplace Safety: Follow safe work procedures established by the Company; and follow the OH&S directions of the head of your department or supervisor.
