Job Summary:

The Calibration Technician is a key member of our team at Micro Precision, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our instruments and equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance of a variety of instruments and equipment, including electrical, dimensional, and mechanical devices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and verification of instruments to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Collaborate with senior technicians and other team members to resolve calibration issues and improve processes.
  • Develop and implement procedures for calibration and maintenance of instruments and equipment.
  • Provide training and support to junior technicians and other team members on calibration procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred
  • Experience in basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
  • Basic mathematics understanding
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work both independently and under the supervision of senior technicians
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance

Work Environment:

This role will be performed in our local laboratory and at customer facilities, with up to 25% out-of-town, overnight travel required.
