Job Summary:

The Calibration and Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various instruments and equipment. This role involves maintaining, testing, and calibrating a range of devices to ensure they perform accurate readings. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical and dimensional equipment, as well as experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the technician will work closely with senior technicians and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and calibrate a variety of instruments and equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
• Test and verify the performance of instruments and equipment
• Comply with company policies and procedures, including the Policy and Quality Manual (QM) and the Description of the System of Calibration (CSD)
• Collaborate with senior technicians and customers to resolve any issues or concerns
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of mechanical and dimensional equipment, as well as basic instrumentation and manual tools
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in calibration and maintenance techniques

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and dimensional equipment preferred
• Experience with basic instrumentation and manual tools preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Training and development opportunities available

Work Environment:

The Calibration and Maintenance Technician will work in a local laboratory and at customer facilities, with up to 25% out-of-town, overnight travel.
