Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of a robust quality system in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify compliance on dimensions, angles, radii, holes, surface finishes, concentricity, hardness, material, and plating using precision measuring tools.
  • Ensure all required inspections (1st Piece, PPAPs, FMEAs, MSEs, etc.) are completed and documented.
  • Oversee the distribution and proper use of shop floor documents (Work Orders, Labels, Inspection Plans, etc.).
  • Manage gauge maintenance, including calibration.
  • Organize and analyze inspection data to draw conclusions on root causes of issues.
  • Use of CMM to enhance department efficiency.
  • Address production or quality issues to prevent unnecessary costs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience in similar roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with precision machined metals and tight tolerances.
  • Understanding of centrifugal pumps.
  • Flexibility to fulfill inspector and/or manager roles based on business needs.
  • Ability to excel in a self-directed role with a high level of integrity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CMM and various measurement tools/gauges.
  • Understanding of GD&T features.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Dependable, responsible, and trustworthy.
