Rework Specialist III

We are seeking a skilled Rework Operator III to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for performing detailed and routine repair operations on assemblies and routing them to the next operation.
Key Responsibilities- Determine which product takes priority based on defined production guidelines
- Locate and collect parts and materials for current job assignments by cross-referencing part numbers in the system
- Perform repairs on boards per procedure and route boards to the next operation
- Perform on-line rework/repair duties as necessary
- Perform hand solder operations on assemblies and inspect rework/repairs
- Enter board quantities into the automated computer system for on-line rework/repair operations
- Perform record-keeping and paperwork associated with job assignments
- Perform labor data entries into the appropriate tracking system
- Work with the solder pot to remove and replace damaged components
- Perform de-solder operations as needed on assemblies
- Obtain the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each assembly and verify the paperwork has the correct effective date
- Complete WebMR parts requisitions for needed rework parts
- Reference Defect Code Lists to identify defects
- Use manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
- Maintain a clean work area and follow all safety and ESD practices
- All employees are responsible for the quality of their work to ensure Benchmark meets or exceeds customer satisfaction
- Process System Integration work through SubHold
- Utilize x-ray machines to examine Ball Grid Array's (BGA's)
- Locate and collect parts and materials for current job assignments and actively maintain rework/repair bank part quantities
- Perform pad, truck, and barrel repair/rework as necessary
- Perform gold plating repair/rework as necessary
- Perform rework/repairs on Line Returns or engineering analysis circuit boards
- Lead and mentor other Rework Operators
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Hand solder certification required
- 3+ years of experience
- Demonstrate expert mechanical skills
- Subject matter expert on QS Benchmark considers this a safety-sensitive position
