Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to support the mission of advancing healthcare through research.

This position primarily focuses on clinical research, ensuring the protection of human subjects and maintaining a patient-centered approach throughout their participation in research protocols.

The Clinical Research Nurse will play a crucial role in protocol development, execution, and oversight, ensuring the collection of accurate and reliable data that contributes to public health initiatives.

The responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring protocol compliance and serving as a co-investigator on clinical trials and collaborative projects.
  • Maintaining adherence to ethical standards, informed consent processes, and patient recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Managing clinical trial participants, including documentation and data management.
  • Providing leadership and professional development within the research team.

This is a full-time, on-site position. The Clinical Research Nurse will assist in developing clinical research standards and implement process improvement strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with principal investigators to finalize and implement research protocols.
  • Oversee the activities of team members involved in trials, ensuring clarity in roles and responsibilities.
  • Support the informed consent process, providing continuous education to patients and their families regarding clinical trials.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address recruitment and retention challenges.
  • Coordinate care for study participants, ensuring adherence to protocol requirements.
  • Monitor research participants for adverse events and report findings to the principal investigator.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives to enhance data management practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or an Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) with two additional years of relevant experience.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in nursing or clinical research settings.
  • Current nursing license in any US State.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with NIH clinical trials.
