About the Role:
Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. As a Clinical Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our clinical trials by providing expert nursing care and support to research participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Protocol Development and Implementation: Assist in developing clinical research and protocol-specific standards of practice (SOP) and implement process improvement strategies for compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.
- Research Participant Support: Provide expert nursing care and support to research participants, including informed consent, patient recruitment and retention, and management of clinical trials patients.
- Data Management: Assist in developing data management plans for each clinical trial and use information management and computer technology to support clinical data management activities.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement: Participate in Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance (QA/QI) initiatives at the Section level and participate in ORSC-wide review of quality assurance/quality improvement and data entry procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with principal investigators, research teams, and interdisciplinary care teams to identify opportunities to improve care and outcomes for patients participating in research studies.
- Education and Training: Provide mentorship to new clinical trials nurses, research team members, and other healthcare providers and participate in the development of publications related to clinical trials with focus on patient management and impact on current or future nursing practice.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) with TWO (2) additional years of experience in nursing, clinical, research, and/or related setting.
- Experience: A minimum of TWO (2) years of experience in nursing, clinical, research, and/or related setting.
- Licensure: Must be licensed as a nurse in any US State.
- Credentials: Must be able to be credentialed by the NIH Clinical Center.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of environmental safety, including infection control, isolation technique, aseptic technique, and general security. Knowledge pertaining to privacy of the patient, privileged information, and secure handling of the patient's medical records. Knowledge of federal regulatory requirements pertaining to clinical research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
