Job Summary

Regency Integrated Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Graduate Nurse to join our team at Laredo South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Laredo, TX. As a Graduate Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing quality care to our residents and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Ensuring Quality Care: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will help ensure the provision of quality care that promotes the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.
  • Observe, Assess, and Document Resident Condition: During rounds, you will observe, assess, document, and report resident condition/changes to ensure timely interventions.
  • Implement Care Plans: You will assure the implementation of care plans as directed by the Registered Nurse to ensure resident needs are met.
  • Administer Medications: You will administer medications as prescribed by physicians to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Conduct Rounds with Physicians: You will conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform Narcotic Reconciliation: You will perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts to ensure accurate medication management.
  • Identify and Address Resident Changes: You will identify significant changes in the condition of residents and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and Monitor Aides: You will oversee and monitor aides to ensure resident care is delivered in a timely and effective manner.
  • Initiate and Complete Incident Reports: You will initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy to ensure resident safety and well-being.
  • Discharge Residents: You will discharge residents per facility policy to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Communicate with Residents and Families: You will communicate with resident's point of contact when they ask for a status update or if there is a change in condition.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: You must have completed a RN program at an accredited vocational school or college.
  • Licensure: You must be working toward testing for a Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
  • Experience: Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
