The Moorings Yacht and Country Club is seeking a part-time Front Desk Associate. This position involves providing essential receptionist services for our Fitness facility.

Key Responsibilities for the Front Desk Associate include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to members of The Club. Managing member account scheduling and billing, as well as handling phone inquiries.
Primary duties consist of:

1. Welcoming members and addressing their questions.

2. Appropriately responding to member inquiries; directing them to the relevant personnel for exercise-related questions.

3. Coordinating member appointments with Fitness staff.

4. Managing telephone communications; routing calls to the correct extensions and taking messages when necessary.

5. Performing administrative tasks on the computer as needed; sending and receiving faxes, and operating audio-visual equipment as assigned.

6. Organizing and maintaining facility documentation; ensuring office supplies and storage areas are tidy.

7. Ordering supplies for the department and monitoring inventory levels.

8. Staying informed about programs available to members.

9. Upholding the confidentiality of members' documents and health information. Sharing such information with others is strictly prohibited.

10. Completing other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Strong customer service abilities.

• Effective communication skills.

• Proficient telephone etiquette.

• Excellent organizational capabilities.

• Ability to engage with a diverse group of individuals, including members and prospective members, in a professional and courteous manner.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written; capable of understanding, reading, and writing.

Knowledge and Certificates: Proficiency in operating telephone systems and using computers is required.

Experience: Customer service experience is essential. Previous experience in fitness or health-related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Administrative experience is also preferred but not required.
