Yacht Insurance Specialist

The Senior Yacht Account Executive role requires you to often take the lead consultant position and serve as the primary point of contact for existing and new clients. You will work on various account sizes, including large, complex accounts with substantial premiums and multifaceted marine coverages. On a daily basis, you'll interact directly with clients and colleagues while developing and maintaining relationships with both client and carrier representatives.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate new and renewal terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
- Deliver and review for accuracy new and renewal policies with the yacht team.
- Contribute to the growth of the division by being a trusted and reliable member of the yacht practice.
- Actively participate in building new relationships and nurturing existing ones within the NFP network, serving as a trusted resource within the yacht team.
- Timely Epic documentation and managing material changes in risk. Maintain a diary (follow-up system) to ensure policies, endorsements, and other information is received to comply with requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients through regular contact and client visits.
- Participate in corporate and industry events as required.
- Extensive understanding of yacht insurance terminology and familiarity with yacht insurance coverage, policy wording, terms, and conditions.
- Must have managed a book dedicated to yacht practice and have comprehensive knowledge of the yacht insurance market guidelines and placement criteria.
- Experience in E&S marketplace, including surplus lines taxes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions.
- Possess technical expertise plus good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
