Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Packaging Supervisor to join our team at Jelly Belly. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of union employees, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our packaging facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate company policies and procedures to employees and enforce GMPs and safety regulations.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements to ensure timely completion of job assignments.
  • Maintain accurate time and attendance records for employees using E-time or other Company database systems.
  • Monitor production, efficiency, and downtime records, utilizing M3, Excel, and other computerized tools.
  • Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and direct setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Review manufacturing orders for material and labor accuracy and provide feedback to correct inaccuracies.
  • Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Provide input and help establish work procedures to meet production schedules and improve quality of product and efficiency of production runs.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals and improve productivity.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities within and between departments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
