Overview

The selected candidate will lead the charge in promoting commercial product sales by collaborating closely with Armstrong sales teams and distributors within the designated region, alongside Armstrong manufacturing personnel.

A significant aspect of this role involves ensuring that Armstrong products are integrated into new construction and renovation projects.

This individual will also nurture existing key client relationships while cultivating new sales opportunities with institutional clients and mechanical contractors within the targeted sectors.


Core Responsibilities
Establish specifications and foster relationships primarily with Consulting Engineers, focusing on plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical sectors.

  • Deliver technical assistance for the design of steam and hot water utility systems.
  • Identify, cultivate, and sustain key client accounts.
  • Leverage construction intelligence resources to pinpoint and secure projects from specification to purchase order.
  • Oversee the relationship between Armstrong manufacturing and the sales channel.
  • Provide market insights on the Institutional sector.
  • Develop profiles on significant competitive product offerings.
  • Maintain Armstrong's Salesforce CRM from project identification through to completion.
  • Assist in the preparation of project submittal documentation.
  • Offer installation, startup, and service technical support.
  • Maintain an active presence in ASPE and other relevant regional engineering associations.
  • Deliver technical training to clients/customers.
  • Identify, propose, and/or develop localized marketing initiatives, tools, and strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred / 5 years' experience preferred.
  • Experience engaging with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, and/or commercial end users.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Technical expertise in HVAC, hydronic, and/or steam systems and applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Background in institutional sales channels.
  • Experience utilizing construction intelligence services to identify and monitor projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders: field representatives, sales managers, Armstrong personnel, and clients.
  • Capacity to manage and follow up on multiple projects and tasks, some of which may not be directly actioned by the candidate.
  • Ability to promote a collaborative 'team approach' with sales representatives.
