Position Overview

The Area Business Manager serves as a key leader within the organization, reporting directly to the Area Manager.   • Team Development: Cultivate a positive and dynamic work environment that promotes high performance, teamwork, and long-term retention of top talent. Recruit, train, and mentor individuals in critical roles within the area, identifying strengths and areas for improvement to facilitate their career growth.
  • Customer Value Delivery: Strive for excellence in customer value by establishing high standards for all store teams regarding product quality, service, and partnerships.   • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Area Manager to create clear, data-driven strategies for competitive advantage. Translate strategies into actionable plans that are communicated effectively and executed systematically, adjusting as necessary to align with market conditions.
Qualifications:
  • 4-7+ years of experience in the green industry, with a preference for those who have managed a nursery, irrigation, or landscape retail sales store.
  • 4+ years of managerial experience, including leadership, conflict resolution, and team building.
  • 2+ years of P&L management experience and a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with sales and operations planning processes and statistical demand forecasting.
  • Expertise in inventory management.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • A degree in Business or Management is preferred, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
