Internship Overview:


The Star Tribune offers an engaging internship opportunity for college students to collaborate with our sales and advertising operations teams.

In this role, you will acquire experience in various facets of advertising operations, marketing, and sales. You will be integrated within a specific team while also collaborating across departments to broaden your knowledge and experience. This internship is hands-on and serves as a pathway to future career opportunities within the Star Tribune.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, LinkedIn Navigator, Google Analytics, and digital marketing.
  • Learn effective prospecting techniques to engage decision-makers.
  • Master the creation of professional presentations for proposals and reporting.
  • Gain insights into constructing and auditing digital advertising campaigns.
  • Foster relationships with our Account Executives, Ad Operations, Marketing, and Content teams.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a junior, senior, or recent graduate in undergraduate studies, focusing on sales and/or marketing.
  • Strong verbal, written, and phone communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with a comfort in engaging with diverse individuals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Microsoft Teams is preferred.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong customer service orientation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Genuine interest in research and a commitment to continuous learning.

This is a paid internship opportunity, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week for up to one year. A flexible part-time schedule may be available for suitable candidates.
