Position Overview

About the Role:
National Grid Renewables is on the lookout for a dynamic intern to join our Marketing and Communications division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful marketing and communication initiatives, culminating in a presentation to our leadership team at the conclusion of the internship. The selected candidate will gain invaluable experience in a rapidly evolving sector while deepening their understanding of the renewable energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization of events and conferences, which includes tasks such as research, vendor coordination, contract discussions, administrative duties, logistics management, and providing onsite assistance. This role may involve travel to various project sites across the country.
  • Conduct research to fulfill diverse requirements, encompassing media relations, advertising strategies, communication efforts, event planning, marketing campaigns, sales opportunities, and general market analysis.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of marketing materials and resources, which includes overseeing printing and ordering processes, as well as utilizing GearUp (our internal ordering and inventory management platform).
  • Contribute to the creation and dissemination of both internal and external communications, including the upkeep of The Charge (our company intranet) and Constant Contact (our email communication tool).
  • Help with the procurement, organization, tagging, and uploading of media assets into our Digital Asset Management System.
  • Compile weekly reports to track the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college program focusing on Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly driven, enthusiastic, and possessing a positive demeanor.
  • A collaborative team player who values feedback while also being a self-starter who can work independently.
  • Well-organized with a readiness to learn and adapt as necessary.
  • Willingness to exceed expectations.
  • Proven success in managing projects from inception to completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe software.
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
