We are a growing, fast-paced, independent, physician-owned medical practice seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our incredible team. Our multi-site facility offers care in various locations, providing a dynamic and challenging work environment.

This is a great opportunity to learn and grow in a specialty office, working with a variety of patients and conditions, including Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, hepatitis C, Barrett's esophagus, GERD, and IBS. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will have the chance to gain knowledge and skills, making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Clinical Staff: Provide assistance to our clinical team, including chart preparation, patient history and vital signs, and entering information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Prepare for Procedures: Assist with preparing capsule endoscopies in our office and coordinate patient care information with other healthcare providers.
  • Triage Patient Calls: Respond to patient calls and messages, and obtain prior authorization for medication, radiology tests, and GI procedures.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Ensure exam rooms and medical closets are clean and organized, and encourage collaboration with drug representatives to educate patients on GI medication functions and diseases.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Successful completion of a CNA/LNA/MA program or equivalent on-the-job training to obtain certification.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in EMR systems and 1 year of experience as a LNA/CNA/MA (required).
  • Certifications: LNA/CNA/MA certification, BLS certification, and CPR certification (preferred).
