{"Responsibilities": "Key Responsibilities

As a Security Supervisor, you will be responsible for the management of Security and PBX staff. This includes direct mentoring, development, and retention of staff. You will ensure quality within the department and overall organization, developing and maintaining performance objectives, identifying processes for continuous improvement, and implementing action plans.

You will also be responsible for planning and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the department, acting in the absence of the Director when needed, and being available on call when assigned or in the absence of the Director.

Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting evaluations of all staff assigned as direct reports, overseeing an effective training orientation process for new staff, monitoring performance levels, and ensuring continued education is provided within the department based on identified training needs.

You will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of patrol functions of the department, analyzing data to ensure proper coverage is in place where needed, and conducting frequent one-on-one meetings with staff assigned to the department.

Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with Human Resources and Risk Management involving safety and security issues, frequently meet with other departments to ensure service needs are met, and conduct detailed investigations at the direction of the Director.

You will also be responsible for documenting all safety-related issues and reporting them to the Director, reviewing and maintaining all department documentation on a weekly basis, preparing documentation on all drill and disaster-related events, and providing documentation of Security-related issues to the Environment of Care Council.

Finally, you will be responsible for reporting any safety-related incident in a timely fashion through the Midas/RDE tool, attending all safety-related training programs, performing work in a safe manner, monitoring work environment for possible safety issues, and ensuring others are also performing work in a safe manner including the use of any necessary weapons.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, 5 years of law enforcement experience, 2 years of hospital experience, and supervisory experience. You will also need to have a valid Arizona Driver's License with no moving violations within the prior 39 months, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, AVADE certification, IAHSS (International Association of Hospital Safety and Security) certification, and a fingerprint card.

You will also need to be able to maintain Taser certification and have a strong understanding of computers and basic software programs.
