Job Summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Staff Law Enforcement Ranger to join our team. As a key member of our law enforcement program, you will be responsible for enforcing Federal laws and regulations related to public lands and resources managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and apprehend violators of Federal laws and regulations on public lands and resources.
  • Implement a law enforcement program involving investigations, interagency coordination, education, and other law enforcement-related activities.
  • Ensure program activities are consistent with national and state policies and procedures for carrying out law enforcement activities.
  • Testify in various criminal court proceedings and brief supervisors, managers, and AUSA's on criminal cases and/or matters sensitive in nature to the agency, Government, and/or public.
  • Collect, document, and safeguard critical information, and participate in national security details and operations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of Federal laws and regulations related to public lands and resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
