About the Role

Delta Utilities is seeking an experienced Fleet Services Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of the company's vehicle fleet. This role will support the organization's operational needs through effective management of both a team and the fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fleet management strategies, including fleet specification and design, vehicle acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and replacement.
  • Ensure that all vehicles meet safety and environmental standards, including emissions regulations.
  • Manage regular maintenance and repairs to ensure fleet reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and manage the fleet services budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and control fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Analyze fleet costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to fleet operations, including DOT regulations and vehicle inspections.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures for fleet operations, including driver training and vehicle safety inspections.
  • Manage vehicle leases, titles, registrations, tags, warranties, recalls, and all applicable inspections.
  • Manage fleet disposal, including end-of-life vehicle disposal, auction, or lease returns.
  • Manage relationships with vehicle manufacturers, leasing companies, fuel providers, and maintenance vendors; negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure the best value and service quality for the company.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics, such as fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and vehicle utilization, to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all fleet activities, including vehicle inventories, maintenance histories, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead and manage the Fleet Services team, promoting safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the team.
About Delta Utilities

Delta Utilities is a leading natural gas utility with a focus on safe, dependable service to customers. Headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana, the utility will serve nearly 600,000 customers and become one of the leading natural gas providers in Louisiana and Mississippi and among the top 40 providers in the United States.

In 2023, Entergy announced that it had entered into an agreement with Delta Utilities to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business. The natural gas utility currently serves more than 200,000 customers across East Baton Rouge and Orleans parishes. In February 2024, Delta Utilities entered into an agreement with CenterPoint Energy to acquire its Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas businesses, which currently serve approximately 381,000 customers. Once the transactions are complete, Entergy's Louisiana natural gas operations and CenterPoint Energy's Louisiana and Mississippi natural gas systems will be operated by Delta Utilities.
