Position Overview
Tonal is seeking a dedicated Mobile Engineer to collaborate across product, engineering, and design teams. This role is pivotal in developing the mobile application that powers our state-of-the-art personal training system. You will tackle complex challenges in software development for a unique consumer fitness solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of intricate features utilizing Flutter alongside native iOS/Android frameworks.
- Engage in design and planning sessions, participating in agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of product milestones.
- Foster a quality-centric engineering culture that promotes rapid and confident product launches.
- Address cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute innovative ideas to enhance software architecture and best practices.
- Coordinate with both onshore and offshore teams to optimize development and testing processes.
- Diagnose and resolve customer issues, conducting root cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in software development.
- Proficient in Dart, Swift, and/or Kotlin with experience in backend service integration.
- Strong grasp of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with data analytics and logging tools such as Sentry, Amplitude, or OpenSearch.
- Knowledge of source control management, build processes, and CI/CD workflows.
- High attention to detail in both code and UI/UX, with a creative problem-solving approach.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications
- BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with Apple Health and/or Google Health Connect.
- Knowledge in media processing and video streaming.
- Interest in the fitness industry.

Compensation
The compensation range for this position is $135K - $190K, with equity options available.
