Job Summary

Kforce is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Mobile Software Engineering to lead our mobile and software development organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the creation of high-quality software products that meet our users' needs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage large mobile (iOS and Android) software teams of 40+ staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive software development strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals
  • Lead and mentor engineering managers, providing guidance and support in driving team success
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including product planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Champion the adoption of best practices in software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
  • Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as product management, design, and marketing, to ensure a seamless product development process
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the software development organization

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in software development, with at least 12+ years in leadership roles
  • Minimum 5-7 years of managing mobile, iOS and Android software teams
  • Proven experience managing large mobile and software teams of 40+ staff
  • Strong experience in developing and implementing software development strategies
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent understanding of software development best practices, including code design, testing, and deployment
  • Experience in architecting and building scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions
  • A track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of talented engineers
  • Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement
