Overview:

In this position, you will guide multidisciplinary initiatives through the product development lifecycle, ensuring the hardware development aligns with our leading-edge virtual reality systems. You will collaborate with both internal and external clients to establish requirements, manage timelines, identify potential risks, and communicate effectively with all program stakeholders. We seek Technical Program Managers who possess a robust technical background, excel in motivating teams, foster cross-functional relationships, and advocate for the right processes to ensure seamless program execution in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering development initiatives for new hardware projects from concept through to mass production readiness.
  • Manage a cross-functional hardware development team, including Product Development, Electrical Engineering, Firmware, Modules, Software, and Operations.
  • Create detailed schedules, pinpoint critical paths and bottlenecks, and maintain execution throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Represent the hardware aspect of projects in reviews, core team meetings, and build discussions.
  • Communicate program statuses effectively, identify potential risks and challenges, and formulate mitigation strategies.
  • Establish best practices and processes for technology development.
  • Oversee prototype hardware builds (Protos, EVT, DVT) in collaboration with our contract manufacturers.
  • Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, testing plans, reliability assessments, and engineering validation.
  • Ensure that program documentation is comprehensive, up-to-date, and accessible for staff and leadership review.
  • Develop and manage the project hardware budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering), physics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience as a program manager overseeing hardware programs from concept to mass production.
  • Familiarity with phase gate methodologies in technology development projects.
  • Experience in scoping and delivering consumer electronics hardware.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical teams.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in building relationships and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate independently across multiple teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A quick learner with high potential who can work autonomously across teams and projects with minimal oversight.

The compensation range provided is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting anticipates for this position, which may vary based on various factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and client requirements.
