Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics Engineer to join our team at COLSA. As an Avionics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for aircraft and spacecraft.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform alternative studies and analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and aerial photography to plan projects.
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
  • Develop construction cost estimates and assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Proficient in discipline-specific design software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-training certification.
  • Related experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
Working Conditions

Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time. Field work is required on occasion, where work may be conducted outside in various weather conditions. Some lifting (up to 25lbs) may be required as needed.
