About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Designer to join our Energy division at EXP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing electrical power systems and their layout for various electrical HV transmission and MV distribution projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical design deliverables, including power distribution schematics, power system studies, protection and control design, SCADA, communication, and physical layout design.
  • Interface and develop partnerships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Work on complex projects with a team of highly collaborative and supportive engineers.
  • Design electrical power systems and their layout for various electrical HV transmission and MV distribution projects.
  • Participate in the development of electrical systems design, including one-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams, SCADA and communication design, station physical layouts, and elevations for electrical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • ~5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with a consulting engineering firm, a utility, or an electrical equipment manufacturer.
  • ~ Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
  • ~ Familiar with electrical equipment in a medium- and high-voltage environment.
  • ~ Familiar with Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • ~ Valid driving license and a car for travel.
  • ~ Ability to work under pressure, on several projects simultaneously.
