Job Overview

We are a small family-owned company with over 35 years of experience in the industry, specializing in Square Footage Calculations and existing structure creation in CAD. We are expanding and looking for a talented and hardworking individual to join our team as an AutoCAD Operator Field Surveyor As Built CAD Specialist.

This is an entry-level position, but with our current business growth, there's plenty of room to move up within the company. We are looking for someone with great interpersonal skills, promptness, quick learning abilities, and excellent communication. If you have these attributes, you'll be a great fit for this position.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of AutoCAD experience, preferably in architecture. We will provide all the necessary training and equipment to learn our specific software and process. You will work on a variety of different types of projects, including commercial, retail, residential, entertainment, museums, and historical buildings. There is a comfortable mix of working in the office and out in the field surveying.

We are based out of Firestone, CO, and work nationwide, with a focus on the Western US area. Travel will be required, sometimes with short notice or for extended periods. We handle all travel arrangements and cover all travel costs. This position will take you to new places, cities, and towns, and we think it's a great perk of the job.

Desired Skills:

  • 1 Year of AutoCAD/Revit experience (Architecture is a plus)
  • Customer Skills-Service Oriented (You talk to a lot of people at this job)
  • Full knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Checking in with Office, Keeping up to date with schedules, clients, etc.)
  • Self-motivated (Surveying Large Buildings, Multiple properties, etc. sometimes solo)
  • Able to work alone (60% of our projects use a single "surveyor")
  • Team player (As much as we work solo, there's a good amount of collaboration and time spent with others)
  • Survey experience a plus (Building Survey-As Built Drawings, etc. Survey training will be provided)
  • Reliable Transportation and a Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to Travel (air travel and local travel - possibly for extended periods/short notice)
