Group Activities Coordinator

Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Group Activities Coordinator. This part-time, non-paid position requires a minimum of 10 hours per week and at least one school semester remaining. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and leading group activities, becoming knowledgeable in community resources, maintaining and supporting client engagement, and data entry and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement group sessions around psychoeducational and interpersonal skills, such as self-awareness, emotional literacy, and trauma and recovery.
- Facilitate support groups on topics like grief, coping with change, and stress management.
- Offer techniques around communication and healthy boundaries in group sessions.
- Provide opportunities for building hobbies and practicing self-care.
- Establish groups focused on healthy living, addressing topics like nutrition, exercise, and proactive healthy living approaches.
- Provide community resources, maintain current knowledge of practices and issues around poverty, and family self-sufficiency.
- Share community resources with the team.
- Ensure group sessions are scheduled, promoted, and managed in a timely manner.
- Provide opportunities for educational and career networking.
- Create and lead group activities designed to build clients' competence and confidence in well-being.
- Support case management teams by providing flyers for events and reminders about upcoming events.
- Remove barriers to client participation by ensuring childcare or activities are available.
- Ensure that family activities will be offered to promote healthy family interaction and stability.
- Regularly meet with the supervisor to discuss progress towards group session goals and ensure that a clear path is available to achieve them.
- Participate in staff training and development.
- Support the data and evaluative needs of the Pilot by ensuring proper documentation and data input is completed.
- Bachelor's Degree in progress in Social Work or related field required.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with low-income populations.
- Must have reliable transportation, a current Texas driver's license, and evidence of auto liability insurance.
- Must be willing to drive agency vehicles as well as a personal vehicle for events as needed.
