At UnitedHealth Group, we're committed to helping people live healthier lives and making the health system work better for everyone. As a Pharmacy Technician Medication Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in serving behavioral health and addiction treatment communities.

As a liaison between our mental health specialty pharmacy and partner clinics, you'll build relationships with clinic partners and communicate with consumers to assist them with their medication plan, insurance, and pharmacy services. Your key function will be promoting our services to obtain new consumers and increasing the number of consumers we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with consumers regarding medication services
  • Recruit and enroll consumers using enrollment forms and copy their insurance cards
  • Facilitate the collection of prescriptions to be faxed to the pharmacy for dispensing
  • Ensure consumer insurance information is up-to-date in the pharmacy system and properly charged for medications dispensed
  • Assist consumers in contacting the pharmacist regarding medication questions and ensure prompt responses
  • Assist clinic staff and pharmacy with prior authorizations and patient assistance programs as needed
  • Monitor compliance by contacting consumers monthly to ensure compliance and determine refill needs
  • Manage prescription refills using the no-refill report and contacting prescribers to ensure timely refills
  • Deliver medications when necessary and appropriate
  • Check for expiration dates and ensure medications are stored properly
  • Identify discrepancies in medication plans and communicate with consumers and prescribers as needed

Requirements:

  • Texas Pharmacy Technician License
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Able to travel to Fort Worth and Dallas
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Behavioral/Mental Health experience
  • Sales & Marketing experience
