Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates study groups that cover essential content from nursing program courses.
- Provides personalized tutoring sessions to nursing students.
- Assists students in applying theoretical knowledge to practical patient care scenarios, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, dosage calculations, client assessments, and care planning.
- Offers effective study strategies, including notetaking techniques, time management tips, and flashcard creation.
- Guides students in accessing additional study resources.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements: Candidates must meet the essential functions of this position.
Preferred Qualifications: Not mandatory for fulfilling the essential functions.
Education: Enrollment in a baccalaureate or master's degree nursing program is required.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary.
Licenses/Certifications: A valid driver's license is required for work-related travel.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates should demonstrate the ability to safely handle nursing and health sciences equipment. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, along with flexibility and exceptional customer service capabilities. Organizational skills, critical thinking, creativity, and basic computer proficiency are also necessary. Candidates should exemplify professional conduct and adherence to college policies.
Additional Requirements: Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
