Position Summary
We are in search of an Echo Technician to deliver high-quality, efficient care to our patients. The Echo/Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist operates under the guidance of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Manager and is responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac examinations as ordered by physicians.

Key Responsibilities
The Echo Technician will:

  • Conduct echocardiograms (2-D, M-mode, color Doppler, pulsed wave Doppler, and continuous wave Doppler), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), carotid imaging, and tilt-table testing, adhering to established hospital protocols.
  • Utilize technical expertise in operating diagnostic non-invasive cardiac imaging equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Document all procedures accurately in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Communicate effectively with the patient care team to relay necessary information.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Registry eligibility for RDCS/RDMS-FE from ARDMS or RCS from CCI.
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree or equivalent education in a patient-care related field, along with relevant clinical experience.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and competency development as required by the service line.

Licensure and Certification
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) certification is required, along with eligibility for additional certifications as specified.

Essential Functions
The Echo Technician will:

  • Ensure proper execution of physician orders for all exams, prioritizing STAT requests appropriately.
  • Maintain high standards of equipment operation and cleanliness during patient examinations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in conducting various echocardiograms and related imaging procedures.
  • Assist with patient preparation and monitoring during tilt-table tests.
