Job Summary

The Methodist Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Echo Technician to join our team. As an Echo Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic cardiac exams using non-invasive cardiac technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiograms, TEEs, carotid imaging, and other related examinations according to established Hospital standards and practices.
  • Apply technical knowledge of diagnostic non-invasive cardiac imaging equipment operation, including basic troubleshooting, equipment cleaning, storage, and maintenance.
  • Accurately document patient information and examination results in accordance with Hospital policies and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Registry eligible for RDCS/RDMS-FE from ARDMS or RCS from CCI.
  • Completion of an Associate's Degree/two year patient-care related allied health education program and one year full-time clinical ultrasound/vascular ultrasound experience.
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical sonography, diagnostic cardiac sonography, or vascular technology program.
  • Current Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
