Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Goldfish Swim School location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer service, staff productivity, and overall success of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Management: Direct and control the daily operations to ensure the school is running in accordance with our standard operating procedures.
  2. Staff Management: Manage the staff of the GSS location(s) to ensure high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  3. Training and Development: Train and oversee all staff to provide superior swim instruction to our students and the highest level of customer service.
  4. Sales and Marketing: Provide sales and marketing training to all qualified sales staff.
  5. Financial Management: Manage financial responsibilities, including weekly cash deposits, cash reconciliation, and budgeting.
  6. Emergency Preparedness: Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the GSS facility.
  7. Pool Operations: Gain knowledge and experience in the GSS pool operations necessary to maintain a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  8. Employee Engagement: Initiate and oversee workplace culture and employee interaction, maintaining a high level of employee satisfaction.
  9. Payroll and Scheduling: Schedule staff and manage payroll.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent desired.
  • Three to five years of management experience preferred.
  • Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Certified Pool Operator certifications required or obtainable within 90 days of start date.

Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
