Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Gilbride Management Group (GMG). As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our swim school, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Direct and control daily operations to ensure the swim school is running according to GMG's standard operating procedures.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate staff to achieve high productivity, excellent performance, and positive employee satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Oversee the training and development of the aquatics department to provide superior swim instruction in accordance with GMG's standards.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to ensure a positive experience and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Pool Operations: Maintain and troubleshoot proper pool chemistry and pump room operation to ensure a safe and sanitary swim environment.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Direct and oversee the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and all safety procedures that pertain to the GMG facility.
  • Marketing and Sales: Provide sales and marketing training to sales staff and work with the Marketing Manager to ensure high levels of customer service and sales performance.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete evaluations on staff, conduct assessments on trainees, and perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, and/or childcare provider required.
  • Certifications: Certified Pool Operator and Lifeguard Instructor certifications required and must stay up-to-date and current.
Work Environment

The employee will be regularly exposed to heat and humidity and will work in a moderate noise level environment.
