Mechanic

Main Industries is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at our Hampton, VA location.
We are looking for a professional with experience in both gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and forklifts. The ideal candidate will have the ability to diagnose and repair problems from start to finish, on all aspects of various vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair problems with gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and forklifts
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on industrial equipment
- Work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements:
- Five years (5) of verified experience as a mechanic
- Forklift training/certification a plus (additional training will be required once hired for those using a forklift)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow verbal directions
- Proficiency in the use of basic electrical meters and test equipment
- High level of critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
