Job Summary
Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Safety Engineering Technology program. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the success of the College.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement effective instructional strategies to engage students and promote learning.
- Assist and advise students with academic matters, including assignments, tests, grades, and career concerns.
- Research, develop, and administer skills assessments to evaluate student performance.
- Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Comply with college policies and directions regarding student testing, record keeping, and other academic matters.
- Meet professional expectations by maintaining professional currency and contributing to a collaborative culture across the College.
- Attend division, department, and advisory committee meetings as requested.
- Participate in staff development activities, such as diversity awareness and technology training.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the College's mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is preferred.

- Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction, assessment, evaluation, and collaborative techniques.
- Skilled in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
- Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
- Skilled in communications and human relations with diverse populations.
- Skilled in oral and written communications.
- Ability to effectively interact with business and industry to establish partnerships and address needs.
