Job Description

Fox Valley Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Automotive Technology courses. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students by delivering high-quality instruction and providing a supportive learning environment.

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to engage students and promote learning.
  • Assist students with academic matters, including assignments, tests, and grades.
  • Conduct skills assessments to evaluate student performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Promote student success through timely communication, growth-based feedback, and implementation of strategies that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Comply with college policies and procedures regarding student testing, record keeping, and grading.
  • Participate in staff development activities to maintain professional currency and contribute to a collaborative culture.
  • Attend division, department, and advisory committee meetings as requested.
Qualifications, Training, and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or Associate's degree with relevant experience and expertise.
  • Minimum of two years of occupational experience in a target job for the program, with at least one year within five years prior to hire date.
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
  • Recent new model automotive experience preferred.
  • ASE certification required.
  • Air Conditioning Certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of current educational methods and strategies, including learner-centered instruction and assessment.
  • Skilled in the use of educational technology and alternative delivery methods.
  • Knowledge and ability to infuse multicultural perspectives into course content and delivery.
  • Skilled in communications and human relations with diverse populations.
