Job Summary

The Pulp Mill Operations Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring seamless maintenance operations at Pixelle Specialty Solutions. This position is responsible for overseeing maintenance activities in the Pulp Mill area, collaborating with various teams to prioritize safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Maintenance Spend Management**: Manage maintenance spending and costs in the designated area to optimize resource allocation.
  • **Work Order Management**: Review and generate work orders for corrective actions based on reports, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • **Workflow Prioritization**: Provide feedback on work notifications and prioritize workflow to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • **Compliance Metrics**: Approve maintenance work and schedule compliance metrics to maintain high standards.
  • **Root Cause Analysis**: Initiate and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify and address maintenance-related issues.
  • **Planning and Scheduling**: Lead planning and scheduling meetings to ensure on-time maintenance work and minimize downtime.
  • **Interdepartmental Coordination**: Coordinate with Area Managers for scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure seamless execution.
  • **Safety and Standards**: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintenance standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in a Pulp Mill department, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • **Skills**: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, strong organizational and multitasking abilities, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
