This role is pivotal in overseeing the facility's adherence to its Title V Air Permit, ensuring compliance with all Clean Air Act regulations and emissions testing protocols. The incumbent will act as the primary liaison for air quality matters with regulatory bodies and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage ambient air monitoring for compliance with regulatory findings.
- Oversee the operation and certification of offsite meteorological stations.
- Address and investigate environmental complaints related to odors and emissions.
- Engage with regulatory agencies regarding compliance and monitoring issues.
- Coordinate quality assurance and control for emissions data and reporting.
- Prepare and submit annual hazardous chemical inventory reports.
- Ensure adherence to Title V permit requirements, including emissions calculations and inspections.
- Monitor compliance with various MACT standards, including Pulp & Paper and Coating MACT.
- Supervise the environmental co-op and sanitation operations.
- Compile and submit necessary annual reports related to emissions and compliance.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
Experience:
A minimum of three to five years of environmental experience within a manufacturing context is essential, with a preference for candidates with pulp and paper industry experience.
Skills:
Proficiency in Title V air compliance and experience in regulatory interactions are crucial. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of timely report submissions and compliance adherence.
