Key Responsibilities:
Automotive Repair:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of internal systems to ensure optimal vehicle performance and adherence to regulatory standards.
2. Disassemble components and assess for signs of wear and damage.
3. Execute repairs or replacements of parts as necessary.
4. Maintain detailed records of vehicle service history and parts usage.
5. Diagnose and resolve issues in cars, vans, and light trucks.
6. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
7. Repair and replace essential components such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors.
8. Act as the primary contact for ministry vehicles and related equipment.
9. Operate machinery such as forklifts and bobcats as required.
10. Procure necessary materials and tools for job completion.
11. Analyze GPS data and report findings to the Facilities Manager.
12. Provide recommendations to the Maintenance Manager based on observations.
13. Support the maintenance team during events or staffing shortages.
14. Manage vehicle reservations and requests.
15. Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Facility Maintenance:
1. Perform a wide range of tasks including installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and vehicles in line with safety and preventative maintenance protocols.
2. Carry out routine building maintenance across various disciplines (e.g., carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
3. Inspect premises, equipment, and grounds to identify potential health and safety issues.
4. Complete assigned maintenance work orders promptly.
5. Execute locksmith duties including installation and repair of locks.
6. Provide maintenance for structural elements such as floors, ceilings, walls, roofs, and plumbing systems.
7. Assist in office relocations and remodeling projects.
8. Collaborate with the Office Manager to acquire necessary materials and tools.
9. Adjust HVAC settings as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Proficient knowledge of automotive servicing and maintenance of power-driven equipment.
2. Familiarity with lubricants, tools, and materials used in equipment servicing.
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
4. Competence in using maintenance and diagnostic tools effectively.
5. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
6. Intermediate knowledge of maintenance tasks is essential.
7. Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software is advantageous.
8. Must be adaptable to departmental changes and demands.
9. Capability to lift and move up to 100 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
Certifications:
1. ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification.
2. Motor Vehicle Repair Registration (MVRR).
3. MEWP Certified Operator (Preferred).
4. Heavy Equipment Certification (Preferred).
5. Forklift Certified Operator (Preferred).
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED, or vocational/technical school certification.
2. Two to five years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
