Job Description

**Network Operations Specialist**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Operations Specialist to join our team at STAND 8. As a key member of our Network Operations Center (NOC), you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration, layout, and maintenance of our entire network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously review and analyze network performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for network-related issues, working closely with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Network Documentation: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Customer Support: Interface directly with customers to address chronic issues, provide status updates, and offer technical support.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously review and evaluate network processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internal departments and external vendors, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network administration, including monitoring and surveillance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage complex issues and drive action items with customers and inter-departments.
  • Ability to promote cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Certifications in leading networking hardware/software are a plus.
  • Experience with IBM Netcool is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related area is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.

Additional Information:

  • The base range for this contract position is $40 - $50 / per hour, depending on experience.
  • Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
