Clinical Nurse Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse, RN - Nurse Manager to join our team at Unity Health Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing processes to ensure quality care and promote positive patient flow.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the health center management team to ensure quality care is provided.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing processes to ensure quality of care while promoting positive patient flow.
- Provide supervision to the RN, LPN, MA, NA at the health center.
- Assist the Medical Director and Health Center Director in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality improvement functions.
- Coordinate daily, weekly, monthly schedules and assignments of the nursing staff.
- Manage the new nurse employee site orientation.
- Manage the annual competency assessment.
- Provide on-going performance evaluations of nursing staff.
- Work with the Triage nurse to ensure appropriate disposition of patients with urgent needs.
- Manage the nursing patient flow to ensure it adheres to the established time frame.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational offerings for nursing staff.
- Provide direct patient care as appropriate to ensure smooth operation of the health center.
- Coordinate the Vaccine Program for the Health Center.
- Coordinate lab functions at the health center.
- Oversee the daily and weekly clinical log checks.
- Manage the floor stock medication at the Health Center.
- Manage the annual emergency training (in collaboration with Medical-Clinical Leadership).
- Serve as the on-site nursing liaison for EMR.
- Manage the annual infection control competency assessment.
- Function as the nursing liaison to other departments, services, and outside agencies on behalf of the health center.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensed or eligibility as RN in DC.
- Current CPR certification.
- Two (2) years of management experience.
- Three (3) years of recent clinical experience in medical surgical, emergency care, ICU or urgent care preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to articulate Unity's mission through his/her work.
- Experience with underserved population or other special needs populations.
- Demonstrated experience in using good judgment in working with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize activities.
The position involves everyday risk and discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meetings, training rooms, and other UHC health Care Sites.
The employee shall provide evidence of a recent (within the past twelve (12) months) health assessment that includes a PPD and/or chest x-ray results.
