Position Overview

MUN CPAs, LLP is a well-established and reputable full-service accounting and auditing firm that provides a wide range of services including audit, tax, consulting, litigation support, and forensic accounting. We are seeking to recruit a Senior Audit Supervisor to enhance our Sacramento audit division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements and manage assigned staff throughout the planning, execution, and completion phases of the audit process.
  • Oversee engagement administration, including coordinating the planning and completion processes.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Support the professional development of team members and collaborate with other managers to ensure effective deployment of audit personnel.
  • Manage client accounts, including billing and fee assessments.
  • Contribute to the firm's overall success by actively engaging in administrative and operational activities.

  • Ability to discuss moderately complex technical issues with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills, including the ability to review and provide feedback on staff work.
  • Maintain confidentiality for both clients and the firm.
  • Consistently meet time estimates and budgetary constraints for assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to the regulations and professional ethics set forth by the AICPA and the state society.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed.
  • Keep Partners updated on the status of all engagements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant public accounting audit experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Active CPA license required.
  • Applied knowledge of accounting and auditing principles.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, which may involve occasional overnight stays.
  • Experience in planning audits and preparing financial statements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, partners, and other audit team members.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.
  • Proactive in learning new areas beyond the immediate scope of work.
  • Proficient in accounting, spreadsheet, word processing, and database software.
