LAND SURVEY OPERATIONS MANAGER

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is in search of a Land Survey Operations Manager to enhance our team. This role will oversee the strategic direction, coordination, execution, quality assurance, and successful delivery of professional surveying services. The position also involves mentoring and guiding junior personnel, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to business growth under the leadership of the Survey and Market Leaders within the Renewables and Power Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project tasks, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project finances, assessing profitability, revenue, margins, billing rates, and utilization.
  • Conduct team meetings to assess and synchronize project activities.
  • Stay updated on industry-specific trends, technologies, software, and equipment.
  • Foster innovation to drive value.
  • Collaborate with the Survey Service Leader to establish and uphold procedures and quality benchmarks for the survey team.
  • Ensure consistency in survey deliverables across the local land survey team.
  • Coordinate with Survey Service Leader and Market Leaders on staffing and workload management.
  • Work with division Survey Leaders and Market Leaders to expand Westwood's local and national land survey footprint, focusing on strategic large-scale survey projects.
  • Support business development initiatives by providing technical expertise and generating revenue.
  • Promote a strong survey culture that aligns with the division's goals and Westwood's core values.
  • Ensure adherence to company values, policies, and practices within the survey service.
  • Exemplify leadership through sound judgment, integrity, trust, and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Survey License is preferred but not mandatory; non-licensed candidates will be assessed based on relevant experience.
  • A four-year degree is preferred along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a consulting environment.
  • Must possess multi-disciplinary experience and a comprehensive understanding of the Land Surveying profession.
  • 5+ years of experience in the land surveying sector.
  • Strong project management skills are essential.
  • Effective verbal communication and independent judgment are crucial.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.
