Cultivation Technician Job Description

The Cultivation Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for the care and maintenance of our cannabis plants throughout their life cycle. This includes germination, vegetative growth, flowering, and harvest. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of horticulture and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clone, plant, water, and fertilize plants, shrubs, and trees using hand tools and gardening equipment.
  • Harvest plants and transplant or pot and label them.
  • Record information about plants and plant growth.
  • Monitor plants for signs of pests or disease.
  • Clean work areas and maintain tools in accordance with sanitation standards.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of medical cannabis and cannabis-infused product production from seed to sell.
  • Experience with inventory control methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, negotiation, and conflict management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:

The Cultivation Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels. The job requires physical activity, including prolonged standing, repetitive bending, climbing, and lifting or moving up to 10 pounds (or more with a coworker). Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy are required.
