Job Overview:

This position is essential in supporting CMU and LCC operations by managing local customer relationships, with a focus on enhancing overall customer satisfaction. The role collaborates with CST, National Sales, and Local Sales teams to ensure a positive experience for clients.

The primary responsibility involves fostering relationships with both new and existing accounts, dedicating up to 50% of time to this effort. The emphasis is on delivering exceptional customer support and resolving issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned customers/concepts and manage last-mile activities to guarantee timely and accurate product delivery; collaborate with Customer Success Managers, transportation, merchandising, and contract sales teams to achieve desired outcomes and enhance customer interactions. Communicate with back office to address matters such as product credits and special orders.
  • Work closely with the local contract sales team to implement strategies and best practices; serve as a model for excellence.
  • Utilize CRM systems for effective account management, including task management, team communication, and ensuring the accuracy of customer data.
  • Establish and nurture customer relationships as necessary; conduct in-person visits based on customer requirements and agreements.
  • Engage in constructive discussions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues as required.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in outside foodservice account management or B2B sales.

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in foodservice account management or B2B sales within the restaurant or GPO sectors.

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets Company insurability standards.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Sysco products, ordering processes, and credit terms.
  • Proficient in customer service management and capable of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage end-to-end initiatives under challenging deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the capacity to provide outstanding customer service to multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to continuous learning of existing and new Sysco technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of Sysco customers is preferred.
